The Mysterious Traveler was a radio series written and directed by Robert Arthur and David Kogan. The narrator for the series was Maurice Tarplin.
The show, sponsored by Adams Hats, was broadcast on the Mutual Broadcasting System from December 5 1943 until September 16 1952.
In 1951 Grace Publishing started a run of the Mysterious Traveler, a magazine that ran for five issues The cover paintings were by pulp artist Norman Saunders.
In 1956 Charlton Comics published issue #1 of Tales of the Mysterious Traveler. The series ran for 13 issues until 1959, with the legendary Steve Ditko illustrating many of the stories. In 1985 Charlton resumed the title for two more issues before the company folded.
