Fight Against Crime, which debuted in May 1951, was published by a very small firm named Story Comics Inc.
The series slowly moved away from its crime roots and into horror. Fight Against Crime is considered by many to be one of the most gory and violent of all the comics published at the time. This ever increasing violence in the content of comic books eventually led to a public outcry and the formation of the Comics Code Authority.
Fight Against Crime continued until issue #21 published September 1954. The title was then renamed Fight Against the Guilty, and ran for two issues until folding in March 1955.
