As the name suggests it was an American western and the opening theme tune was 'Home on the Range'. Jock Mahoney starred as the title character, Range Rider, his real name was never revealed. His partner was Dick West, played by Dick Jones.
Range Rider was known both for his fairness and also for being a expert gunman.
The executive producer of The Range Rider was Gene Autry and it was his company 'Gene Autry's Flying A Productions' that also produced it.
