Toyland Comics was first published, by Fiction House, in January 1947.
The series aimed at the younger audience was not a success and only ran for three issues ending in July of the same year.
The covers for all three issues were drawn by Bob Lubbers. Lubbers is best known for his work on Tarzan and the syndicated strips Li'l Abner and Long Sam, which he drew after leaving Fiction House in 1950.
Other contributors to Toyland Comics included editor Malcolm Reiss, who is better known for his science fiction work and Al Walker who drew many of the Jungle Comics and Planet Comics stories.
