Picture News is a rather interesting experimental comic, first published in January 1946, by News in Color and Action, Inc.

The comic featured factual stories, concentrating on current affairs and news. It was designed to be both entertainment and educational. There was a slant towards celebrities of the day, including the lives of June Allyson, Jackie Robinson, Frank Sinatra and Perry Como. Making it some ways an early celebrity gossip magazine.

The series lasted until issue #10, published in January 1947. That issue also included the debut of Dick Quick, Ace Reporter in an attempt to gain a younger audience, which evidently failed.
