My Little Margie was a television situation comedy show that broadcast between 1952 and 1955. The series creator was Frank Fox and it was produced at Hal Roach Studios, in Los Angeles California. My Little Margie first showing was on June 16, 1952 acting as CBS's summer replacement for I Love Lucy.
The show was set in New York City, and starred Gale Storm as 21 year-old Margie Albright. Charles Farrell, a former silent film, played her father Vern Albright a 50 year-old widower. Together they share an apartment at the Carlton Arms Hotel.
Other characters included: Vern Albright's boss George Honeywell, Roberta who was Vern's girlfriend, Freddy Wilson who was Margie's boyfriend and Mrs. Odetts their next-door neighbor.
Along with other contemporary shows such as, I Married Joan and Life with Elizabeth, they were heavily influenced by I Love Lucy. After the cancellation of the series in 1955, Gale Storm starred in 143 episodes of The Gale Storm Show, which ran from 1956 to 1960.
