Jingle Jangle Comics was first published by Eastern Color, under the Famous Funnies Inc. imprint, in February 1942.
The comic book sold for ten-cents and was issued bimonthly. Jingle Jangle Comics was a mixture of animal and human comedy material which was aimed at its target audience, of children.
The series editor was Steven Douglas and the principal artist was George L. Carlson. Carlson was a highly experienced children's illustrator and had already published a children's book called 'Jingle Jangle Tales'. Each issue contained two of his features: 'Jingle Jangle Tales' and 'The Pie-Face Prince'. Each of these were all Carlson's work.
Jingle Jangle Comics continued until issue #42 in December 1949.
